Alterna gives you access to your money as soon as the funds are electronically deposited into your card account. Your employer will make those funds available on the day you would have received your paycheck, and sometimes it arrives up to two days earlier.
You will have all of the benefits of the Alterna card with the added convenience of recurring automatic payroll deposit every pay period. For non-banked employees, this means not only the convenience of immediate access to funds through the ATM network, but you will also not pay a fee when loading via direct deposit,3 unlike many check cashing stores.
In order to receive direct deposit to your card account, your card account must be active and in good standing. Also the name associated with the direct deposit must be the same as the name associated with the card account
